About Your No Claims Bonus
Some Insurance Companies in Spain will not honour
your previous entitlement to No Claims Bonus for a variety of reasons
and this can dramatically affect the price you pay for your insurance.
At Expat Insurance in Spain, we try to accommodate a whole range of
circumstances and aim to keep premiums down by honouring or establishing
No Claims Bonus entitlement for our clients. The chart below will
tell you if you could be entitled to a No Claims Bonus. |

You are entitled to a No Claims Bonus
and have a Certificate (Proof of NCB)
We will honour your No Claims Bonus in
Spain and any discount will be automatically calculated when a
quote is provided. Simply take a copy of the Certificate
and hand it to us when requested |

You are entitled to a No Claims Bonus
but do not have a Certificate (Proof of NCB)
Don't
worry!!! In many cases we will still honour your No Claims
Bonus. We will ask you a few questions and you will need
to complete a Self-Certificate |

You are NOT entitled to any No Claims
Bonus There are some
circumstances when we may be able to give you a No Claims Bonus
to start you off. These include:
- Drivers who have previously held
insurance but have not had insurance for a few years
- Drivers whose No Claims Bonus
entitlement has expired
- Drivers who were covered on
another persons insurance and therefore did not earn any No
Claims Bonus entitlement
- Drivers who previously used a
Company vehicle
- Drivers who were previously
self-employed and the insurance was in the business name
person applying for No Claims Bonus entitlement was a named
driver

We cannot give a No Claims Bonus in all
Circumstances There are
occasions when we are unable to give a No Claims Bonus and some
of these are shown below. The list is not exhaustive as
personal circumstances differ and each application is made on it's
own merits:
- Where a
person has been banned from driving
- Where
previous claims have been made
- If the
proposed policy holder has held a driving licence for less
than two years
- If the
proposed policy holder is under the age of 25 years
